My name is Giulia Mengoni. I am a 27-years-old Italian native with marketing, community management and wine tasting experience in Italy and France. I am interested in finding a position that adequately fits my skills and interests, which is why I am sending you the following spontaneous application. I am confident in my ability to bring valuable experience to your company and to develop professionally and personally in the meantime. During the past two years, I have had the opportunity to live in Bordeaux, a vibrant capital of the wine industry, where I worked for one of the top 5 wine merchants of la Place de Bordeaux, Millésima SA, and completed a 2-year MBA program in Wine & Spirits Management at Kedge and INSEEC universities. At Millésima, I was in charge of digital marketing and community management for the Italian market. This work allowed me to complement my wine education with professional experience, while also exposing me to an international team, which included German, American, Chinese, French and British individuals. At Millésima I have also honed my skills in digital marketing, wine tasting, social media management, and customer care. I believe that my experience in these areas will allow me to fit in very well with your existing staff. You will find that I have an excellent work ethic, and I am exceptionally willing to learn, continuously striving to improve my performance at the workplace. I am currently looking for employment in the wine industry. Specifically, I’m seeking a position that will enable me to perfect my wine skills, while also challenging me professionally. One of my most important skills is my proficiency in four languages: Italian (native), English, Spanish and French. Last July I passed the WSET2 and I am currently studying for the WSET3.
